Cold Jet vs the Competition

What the competition doesn't want you to know.

There is one key piece of information that most dry ice blasting companies don't want you to know:

Dry ice blasting equipment is NOT created equally!

While dry ice blasting - the process - is basically the same, the technology, design, operation, and effectiveness of the equipment is not.

Crown, Cork & Seal
Plant Engineer

We recently hired a contractor to perform dry ice cleaning in our plant. This gave us the opportunity to compare the performance of the Cold Jet system with that of a competitor. I must tell you that the Cold Jet system outperformed hands down due to the superior delivery of ice pellets and handling of the jet nozzle.

I then tried both machines myself. Using the Cold Jet machine was fun and the contaminant was coming off like butter. However, I was ready to put down the competitor's machine 10 seconds after I had picked it up - I didn't want to use it anymore.

The Cold Jet difference

At Cold Jet, dry ice blasting and production equipment isn't just part of our business - it is our business. It's all we do.

No other company has had dedicated engineering and support staff working solely on advancing dry ice blasting technology for more than 30 years. That's why Cold Jet equipment is renowned as the highest quality and most effective dry ice blasting equipment on the market. And no other company has Cold Jet’s global support network to be there for you after the sale.

Here is a brief summary of how some of the competition currently stacks up:

Cold Jet Competitor #1 Competitor #2
8 blasting machines, 8 dry ice production systems 1 blasting machine 3 blasting systems and 1 pelletizer
Provides custom integrated systems No engineered or integrated systems No integrated systems
40+ specialty nozzles available 8 nozzles 6 nozzles
Single hose blasting machines Single hose blasting machines Currently only offer dual hose
Pneumatic and electric machines Electric only Pneumatic only
Ground cable to reduce risk of accidental shock Possibility of electrostatic shock during blasting Unknown - but no visible ground wires
Deals only with dry ice blasting and production equipment Dry ice blasting is not main business Does not manufacture their equipment
3 hose diameters to vary pressure and increase performance with longer hoses Only one diameter of hose available Only one diameter of hose available
Can be used for many applications Only one machine and 8 nozzles - limits applications Focuses on mold remediation and fire restoration
Machines are built to be ergonomic and durable Not built to be long lasting (ex: plastic front casters) Not made of highest quality materials and have exposed critical parts

Take the challenge.

Test any competitor's machine against Cold Jet and we are confident that our machines will provide superior results and provide long-term savings for your cleaning needs.
