Cold Jet’s Environmental Cleaning and Surface Preparation (ECaSP) systems were developed for the aerospace industry nearly 40 years ago to help manufacturers meet stringent industry demands. Cold Jet offers a non-abrasive cleaning solution that protects the critical dimensions and geometric shapes of the tooling surfaces and is faster than traditional cleaning methods. Cold Jet dry ice blasting can be used to safely remove a variety of contaminants (epoxy, Teflon tapes, silicones, carbon, graphite, phenolic, etc.) as a preparation for repainting or simply to maintain equipment without the electrical problems typically associated with traditional cleaning methods. Tool cleaning while at operating temperature saves valuable production time.

Tow hitches, landing gear systems, engine bay covers and other components can be cleaned rapidly without disassembly. Brake dust and other soils and residues can be removed during restoration, overhaul and maintenance, creating dramatic savings in man-hours and hazardous materials. Cold Jet dry ice blasting technology has been approved for use on many critical flight parts.
