Leur c\u0153ur se compose de trois \u00e9l\u00e9ments principaux : un compresseur, une chambre de combustion et une turbine. Le compresseur pressurise l\u2019air achemin\u00e9 vers la chambre de combustion, o\u00f9 il est m\u00e9lang\u00e9 \u00e0 un carburant sous haute pression et enflamm\u00e9. Cette r\u00e9action produit des gaz chauds dirig\u00e9s vers la turbine, qui fournit l\u2019\u00e9nergie n\u00e9cessaire pour entra\u00eener le compresseur et, dans le cas des turbosoufflantes, le ventilateur.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, l\u2019accumulation de salet\u00e9 et de r\u00e9sidus issue de l\u2019air atmosph\u00e9rique et du carburant br\u00fbl\u00e9 peut nuire aux performances de ces moteurs. Les d\u00e9p\u00f4ts de poussi\u00e8re, de sel et de gaz d\u2019\u00e9chappement provoquent des pertes a\u00e9rodynamiques et augmentent les frottements, r\u00e9duisant l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du compresseur. Cette baisse d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 se traduit par une hausse de la consommation de carburant, une augmentation des co\u00fbts d\u2019exploitation et une usure pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e des turbines.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, un nettoyage ad\u00e9quat du compresseur s\u2019av\u00e8re essentiel pour maintenir des performances optimales du moteur \u00e0 r\u00e9action, r\u00e9duire significativement les co\u00fbts op\u00e9rationnels et prolonger la dur\u00e9e de vie des composants. En adoptant des m\u00e9thodes de nettoyage r\u00e9guli\u00e8res et adapt\u00e9es, il est possible de conserver un haut niveau d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 et de fiabilit\u00e9, tout en pr\u00e9servant la rentabilit\u00e9 globale de l\u2019exploitation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>LE PROBL\u00c8ME<\/h4>\n<p>Rolls Royce, l\u2019un des principaux fabricants de turbines \u00e0 gaz, utilisait autrefois un processus de nettoyage manuel pour \u00e9liminer l\u2019accumulation de salet\u00e9 et de r\u00e9sidus\u00a0 sur les pales de compresseur en titane. Les ouvriers devaient gratter et frotter les aubes \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019eau et de produits chimiques, une m\u00e9thode \u00e0 la fois chronophage et exigeante en main-d\u2019\u0153uvre, qui risquait d\u2019endommager les pales. De plus, en raison des angles tr\u00e8s aigus des aubes, cette technique repr\u00e9sentait un danger pour le personnel en charge du nettoyage.<\/p>\n<p>Consciente de ces risques et de la perte de productivit\u00e9, Rolls Royce s\u2019est mise \u00e0 rechercher des solutions de nettoyage alternatives plus s\u00fbres, plus rapides et plus respectueuses de l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 des pi\u00e8ces. L\u2019objectif \u00e9tait de prolonger la dur\u00e9e de vie des pales de compresseur, de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts d\u2019entretien et de maintenir des performances optimales pour ses turbines \u00e0 gaz.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>LA SOLUTION<\/h4>\n<p>L&rsquo;entreprise am\u00e9ricaine Rolls Royce a test\u00e9 le nettoyage cryog\u00e9nique Cold Jet et a constat\u00e9 que l&rsquo;effet du processus sur la microstructure du mat\u00e9riau \u00e9tait minime. Apr\u00e8s ces essais concluants, l&rsquo;utilisation du nettoyage cryog\u00e9nique a \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9e pour le nettoyage des aubes de compresseurs.<\/p>\n<p>Le nettoyeur cryog\u00e9nique de Cold Jet utilise un agent nettoyant non abrasif sous la forme de granul\u00e9s de CO2 recycl\u00e9s qui n&rsquo;endommagent pas les surfaces ou les \u00e9quipements. La combinaison de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie cin\u00e9tique et des effets thermiques du nettoyage par glace carbonique rompt le lien entre la salet\u00e9 et la surface, en soulevant les contaminants. Lorsque les granul\u00e9s de trois millim\u00e8tres sur six frappent les pales des \u00e9tages de compression du moteur, l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie cin\u00e9tique lib\u00e9r\u00e9e par l&rsquo;impact d\u00e9tache le contaminant. Contrairement \u00e0 la projection avec d&rsquo;autres m\u00e9dias, le nettoyage \u00e0 la glace carbonique ne laisse pas de d\u00e9chets secondaires. Les particules de glace s\u00e8che se subliment \u00e0 l&rsquo;impact &#8211; elles passent de l&rsquo;\u00e9tat solide \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat gazeux &#8211; et ne laissent aucun r\u00e9sidu dans le moteur. Le nettoyage \u00e0 la glace s\u00e8che est s\u00fbr et non toxique, ne cr\u00e9e pas de contamination en aval et r\u00e9duit ou \u00e9limine l&rsquo;exposition des employ\u00e9s \u00e0 des agents de nettoyage chimiques dangereux.<\/p>\n<p>Une lettre d&rsquo;approbation pour l&rsquo;utilisation du nettoyage cryog\u00e9nique Cold Jet a \u00e9t\u00e9 accord\u00e9e par Rolls Royce pour le nettoyage d&rsquo;assemblages de tambours de compresseurs en titane de turbines d&rsquo;avion.<\/p>\n<p>La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 satisfaite des r\u00e9sultats du processus de nettoyage \u00e0 la glace carbonique et a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer ce processus dans la maintenance des moteurs \u00e0 turbine. Rolls Royce a install\u00e9 un syst\u00e8me automatis\u00e9 (manipulateur robotique) utilisant un Cold Jet SDI-5 et une enceinte insonoris\u00e9e pour \u00e9viter les nuisances sonores pendant le processus de nettoyage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>LES R\u00c9SULTATS<\/h4>\n<p>L&rsquo;utilisation du processus de nettoyage automatis\u00e9 Cold Jet a permis de r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9conomies de 90 % sur le nettoyage des pales du rotor du compresseur et d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer de 84 % le temps de rotation des modules\/composants.<\/p>\n<p>Rolls Royce a \u00e9limin\u00e9 l&rsquo;utilisation de produits chimiques dans le processus de nettoyage et a r\u00e9duit l&rsquo;exposition des employ\u00e9s \u00e0 des produits chimiques nocifs. Le nettoyage \u00e0 la glace carbonique a \u00e9galement rendu le processus de nettoyage plus s\u00fbr pour les employ\u00e9s.
