Preforms have the ridges for a screw on top, but not yet the expanded and shaped body of a Coca-Cola bottle. The preforms are shipped to Coca-Cola's other plants in Spain. Air and heat are blown into the preforms at the bottling plant to produce the bottles.
Cleaning the molds for the preforms can be a time-consuming process, and that's where Cold Jet Dry Ice Blasting comes in.
Blasting hight-velocity, high-density dry ice allows for cleaning the molds, blowing equipment and pneumatic transports without disassembly. In addition to saving time and labor, the cryoblasting technology helps to achieve high-quality cleaning, eliminate the need for caustic chemicals and avoid erosion of equipment.
