Cold Jet Adds Farrow System to Portfolio of Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Solutions

Loveland, OH and West Chester, PA – October 3, 2011 – Cold Jet®, the global leader in dry ice cleaning and surface preparation technology, announced today it has added the Farrow System® to its line of environmentally responsible cleaning solutions.  The agreement between Cold Jet and Farrow designates Cold Jet as the exclusive distributor of Farrow Systems in the Eastern United States, with plans to expand the technology globally in the next 12 months.

“This is a great opportunity to meet the growing needs of our customers,” said Eugene Cooke, III, President and CEO of Cold Jet. “While Cold Jet’s dry ice cleaning technology is recognized worldwide for its effectiveness and business value, we remain committed to adding environmentally responsible cleaning and surface preparation solutions to our portfolio for all our global customers. As such, and in instances where sand, soda or walnut shell blasting may have been their only solution before because of required aggressiveness, we can now supply an environmentally responsible solution with the Farrow System.”

The Farrow System quickly removes protective coatings such as paint, oxidation, and graffiti from surfaces without damaging them. It is fully adjustable allowing removal of tough industrial coatings to gently cleaning fragile historic artifacts. Because the Farrow System uses up to one tenth the media volume as conventional sand blasting systems, and because the media is made from 100% recycled glass, it is one of the most environmentally responsibly blast cleaning technologies on the market.

“We are excited to bring our technology to the mainstream of American industrial cleaning practices with Cold Jet,” said Nigel Farrow, Founder of the Farrow System. “While our patented slurry blasting technology has been long proven in the maritime and painting and coatings industry, we’ve been a well kept secret of many companies. This new relationship with Cold Jet allows us to bring the Farrow technology to the forefront of best cleaning and surface preparation practices.”

The Farrow System will now be sold and serviced via Cold Jet’s team of field based sales and customer service representatives.  Existing distributors of the Farrow System will continue to rent and service equipment in conjunction with Cold Jet sales support.
